Back Off the Yellow Strip

The stupidity of some individuals never ceases to amaze me. What compels a mother or father to allow their child to lean over the track way at a station in order to see the train coming? There is a reason why there is a yellow safety strip on each side of the platform. Unfortunately, some parents are either color blind or just plain ignorant of the fact their child could be seriously injured if struck by an arriving or departing train.

What is even worse are kids playing on the edge of the platform or faking as if they are going to push their friend in the track way. Again, where the hell is the common sense of the parent to put a stop to it? Why? Because it is dangerous, but I guess that won’t be evident until your child is struck and killed.

The same can be said for any individual who waits or stands on the yellow strip or leans over the track way. Your train is coming, honest. But if you lean into the track or worse fall in I can guarantee to you it will only further the delay of your train arriving. so please respect the yellow strip and stay off it. In the interest of YOUR safety and for that of the train.
