30 Second Beer Review: Alvarado Street Brewery Timbo Pils (2026)

Timbo Pils, Alvarado Street’s 2026 interpretation is built on gobs of Mosaic and Citra in all forms — meaning multiple addition types, likely pellet and Cryo or pellet and whole cone across different stages of the brewing process. On an extra pale, light-bodied Pilsner malt base described as crackery, the effect is a West Coast Pilsner that uses the clean lager canvas as a delivery mechanism for maximum hop expression without the haze or weight of an IPA. Riesling grape notes from the Mosaic, dank citrus oil from the Citra, mango and passionfruit and pineapple from both varieties in full tropical expression. Dank. Tropical. Dry.  Three words and complete.
