The name is playful, but the beer is serious. Little Bo Pils is Smog City’s year-round Bohemian pilsner — a style they call a masterclass in balance, and with three competition medals from the California State Fair and LA International Beer Competition behind it, the judges have consistently agreed. Czech Saaz hops and Bohemian Pilsner Malt is about as traditional a combination as you can put together in this style, and Smog City executes it with precision. At 4.4% ABV this is one of the most sessionable beers in their lineup — light enough to disappear on a warm Southern California afternoon, complex enough to keep you engaged while it does.
