Merry Christmas

From The 6th Floor, Merry Christmas to all. While I would love to be home opening presents with my wife and son, I am sitting at work. Somewhat bitter sweet because it should be a very quiet and uneventful day. Although this time of year can bring out some of those depressed individuals and why, I don’t know, but they throw themselves in front of trains. But we won’t dwell on that subject to bring the spirit of Christmas down.

We actually celebrated Christmas a day early and opened all our presents yesterday. My son, at 3 years old didn’t know the difference. So we enjoyed a very early morning. I was up before 5am playing ‘Santa’ and placing presents under the tree. My son woke about an hour later and was ready to go. I do believe he was a bit overwhelmed by everything.

I was bitter because two of his toys did not work, both Fischer Price and both made in China. But what ISN’T made in China these days? I am still considering a very nasty e-mail to the company. What good will it do? Probably very little, but it would prevent me from buy any more toys from that manufacturer. But I was able to fix one of the toys and we stopped at Target and picked up another toy, just so we could take the missing piece out of it. We will return it in the coming days to Target, missing pieces. Wrong? I don’t care if it is. Guess they need better quality control, right?

Outside of work, very few plans for the days. I will get home at 3pm and probably go to the in-laws for dinner. That after eating a holiday meal here at work. We were already given a plate full of sweets and goodies. Guess it’s time to fatten up.

So once again Merry Christmas to all. Have a great day with you and yours.
