Open Letter to Osama
Dear Osama,
Hi, how are you? I am fine, still a bit pissed about 9-11, but like most Americans, we forget most things after a few years. I just wanted to let you know that the United States of America is in complete disarray, from immigration and taxes to the war [quagmire] in Iraq. We are not able to secure our borders, but want to create a democracy in Iraq and prevent that country from harboring terrorists. So, if you feel the need to strike the United States again, please come in using that southern border.I understand that the Mexican President, Vicente Fox encourages his countrymen to “migrate north” and aids them any way possible. Since the political structure down there is laced with political corruption, blood money and druglords it would be a very easy way to get into the USA undetected. I am sure if you play your cards right, the Mexican government will even tell you where those “vigilante” groups watching the US border are.

Asinine? Absurd? Bordering on sedition? Probably, but I am completely fed up with the rhetoric we are continually fed in the USA. Every day it is something new that makes you wonder just what the hell local, state and federal politicians are doing? I can tell you they DO NOT speak for me! These days you cannot tell the difference between the Republicrats and Demicons, they do not take into consideration the best interests of their constituents. Since I am not registered or affiliated with either party some will say I should not bitch. I am damn proud I did not vote George Bush into office. Then again there was no way in hell I was going to back a John Kerry.
Like many in America, I am upset with the lack of attention towards securing our country’s borders. As Michael Savage emphasises, “BORDERS. LANGUAGE. CULTURE.” All of which are going to hell in a handbasket, thanks in part to our government. I hail the efforts of people like Chris Simcox and Jim Gilchrist who head up chapters of the Minutemen. The same Minutement who have been labelled “vigilante” by our jackass President.
Listening to AM radio talkshows on the way to work, it irks me to no end that we, the American people are loosing our country. Illegal aliens…scratch that, illegal Mexicans continue to pour over our borders into California, Arizona and Texas at and ungodly rate. They continue to impose their wills on those of us who are here legally. Remember you are illegal and have NO RIGHTS. While California might have been part of Mexico, the conclusion of the Mexican American War saw Mexico give up on California.
The war ended on february 2, 1848 with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. “In the treaty, the United States agreed to pay Mexico $15 million and to assume unpaid claims against Mexico. For its part, Mexico agreed to transfer to the United States more than 525,000 square miles of land. From this vast area would come the future states of California, Nevada, and Utah, most of Arizona and New Mexico, and parts of Colorado and Wyoming. [source]”. Of course I would not expect a Mexican to know that though.
So until the border is secured, it will remain open to anyone, including terrorists, thus the ‘Open Letter to Osama.” While the efforts of the Minutemen go unnoticed and the politicans won’t do anything to jeopardize their positions [exception Tom Tancredo of Colorado], it will take another attack on the US to reemphasis the fact we need better border security.
