Give Credit

Greetings, how’s it going? Just a quick reminder for those in the community. If you a level designer PLEASE remember to get approval to use textures from a third party site or individual in your Urban Terror level. Also, remember to give credit to the source in your readme.txt file, which is included in every Urban Terror level. While it does not sound like a big deal, it can cause some issues. It is a small step, just to cover your ass. There are many quality texture sites and artists out there who create some amazing looking textures for us to use in our levels. So please remember, “give credit, where credit is due.” Thanks.

Are you ready for QuakeCon 2001? It is quickly approaching. The dates, August 9-12 in Mesquite, Texas. There have been some confirmations from a few Silicon Ice Development members. Attending this year will be Apoxol, Meaty, SweetnutZ and myself. There are a few others who are wanting to come, but it all depends of what happens in the coming months. We are trying to persuade dokta8 to ge this Aussie ass over to the US again. Hopefully we can get him to QuakeCon again.
