Ordered & Logbook Online

After a few months of trying to get my logbook online I have finally got a searchable logbook. The Java applet was developed by G4ZFE and I stumbled upon it while filling out a QSL card for K5WW. While a real time database drawing from QRZ might be more worthwhile, I am pleased to have this new feature online. Hopefully there will be some more information provided instead of just callsign, band and mode worked.

The other big news is I ordered my SteppIR BigIR MkIII today from SteppIR. Lead time is 3-4 weeks, but I will receive the mounting post and cables in a week or so. This will give me time to prep the current location that houses the 6-BTV. I also opted for the 80m coil and balun. I figured if I was going this far, might as well go all the way. I have heard and read varying comments on the 80m coil, rest assured it will be an improvement over what I currently have in the whip that is cut to 3850 on the 6-BTV.
